I actually agree with you, taco satori. EHX was my go to for years, but I have moved on...the Randy is lacking that Bell quality and some cut.

I think the higher headroom help keep everything clean and easier to level for balancing...that is the only reason I can really think (and it is probably easier to make clean, pure oscillators...but the voltage may be a product of their times).

I guess that is why I go to the moog and the LAL for IC based ring mod these days.
