Why would there be an earth shattering kaboom?

I was gonna let Parker say it, but since he hasn't...
I'm gonna be the roadie for the Druden tour at the end of the month/beginning of next month. Not gonna be at the Washington shows, though.
Super excited about it. Are any of y'all gonna be out for any of those shows?

Thanks for the scoop on the Rainbow Machine Tony!

Buddy of mine posted it on Facebook. He won't ship, sadly, so I'm debating buying it and having a friend hold it until I'm back in Memphis this summer.

Dang, that's awesome. Wish it was hitting Denver!

It's really cool that you roadie for each other. I appreciate that friendly, helpful, and modest mentality. You might take it for granted and do it without question, but it's not something I've been around much in my experience. It's a novelty to me.

I'll definitely be at the one in Santa Barbara and most likely the one in SLO as well. Should be pretty awesome. Also, a ton of cool show posters showed up in my bookstore and on of them I just found is an awesome Middian show poster from 2007. I'll hav eto take pics cause the art is rad!

dazedbyday wrote:Yeah, pretty neat. So what will be the first thread outside of the main doom room thread?

I done did a stupid thread already'd.

Hey dudes!

Not sure I posted my new Tele in here yet, a limited Factory Special Run in Antigua finish. It's MIM so it's built and finished wonderfully and plays like a champ but it needs some hardware swaps to bring it up to speed. Found it on clearance plus the black tweed case for $550, nice deal.

Ordered some Bare Knuckle Blackguard Flat 50's first thing, old school singles wound hot for the high output. Supposed to bring the hugeness while retaining some Tele vibe, should be here next week and I plan to wire 'em with a 4-way switch mod. Also have a satin nickel Callaham bridge plate and enhanced compensated saddles to install along with matching aluminum knobs.

Just acquired a black anodized pickguard for today as well, threw it on immediately. I prefer it to the matching body colored burst guard that cones stock plus that thing is actually painted so I figure may as well preserve it.

Gonna be so fucking sweet after it's all done, excited!

Thanks dude, me too! You def don't see that finish often and it looks pretty repulsive in many instances but just looks right on a Tele IMO.

I have that weird archivist or hoarder feeling where I don't like to get rid of some things because I don't know when I would use it or I just like having an arsenal at my disposal. I have sold off a few things that I no longer use but for the most part I have a collection of shit that just sits there. There are a few things I wish I still had though.

^This.
There have been a few things I've been happy to see the back of though *cough*behringerhead*ahememem*...
but mostly, especially with pedals, I like having a library of crazy shit to be able to pull out if I want to. Like my Boss Digital Dimension, never giving that thing up. And its pink. Not like ironic pink or "I can live with that" pink. Its like gross 80's pastel pink, with a hint of glitter through it. Sounds like evil though. In stereo...dripping aural sex juice.
D-Day, on the subject of pink pedals, I've been hankering for a rainbow machine too. I have no idea what I would do with it though. Just become a one man concept band covering the whole aura of electric paedophile tones available.

That juggling shit is crazy. Who'd have thought juggling would get hardcore.

Also, diggin the ilovedoomage. Nice move, whomever was responsible for them ones! :thumb: :!!!:

I'm glad I am not the only one. That digital dimension is pretty cool. The guitarist from rosetta uses one too. I think it is 4 seperate chorus voices or something like that which is sounds awesome. The line 6 m9 has an emulation of it and I used it when I was using the m9.

Nice. Yeah as far as choruses go its fairly unique. I don't even really like chorus but I used to use it all the friggin time. I used to bust out a tonne of phaser as well...I guess I just grew some taste buds. Modulation rules, just not all the time. Unless its vibe, and you wanna sex everyone out with your robin trower happenings.
Edit: forgot to mention how awesome Rosetta are.
Who brought up Jesu before? Or was it Sally? Anyway, I agree, they are awesome.

Shannon, you're a poon dog. That tele is, like your LP, the sex. Also, while I've got you, the BF is one jam away from becoming the only dirt on my board, so thanks again! You wizard of poon, you.
Just gotta see how it goes against my mates rig (LP -->BAT destroyer-->jcm800 (80s 50w) -->1960a).
I have high hopes.

Thanks man and awesome to hear the Black Forest is working out. I love that pedal! :thumb:

I'm really digging my Destroyer lately too but mainly using the Ritual side. That thing is totally badass when my amps have just a little breakup going on. It def finishes the job nicely.

Yeah dude, I think my mate is on the ritual side mostly as well. Phat city.

Also, I'm gonna bring up the wah pot topic again, builder and DIY types, I'd like to know if you have any recommendations. GCB-95, I'm gonna take the buffer out and tb it, needs a new pot. Found an ICAR type at mammoth electronics for like $9, worth it? Still open to recommendations. Also don't know if I could be bothered changing the inductor. Don't want to spend a heap.

And I must say, the new black theme brings the gloom.
Satanostyle!

man, that is a sweet looking tele...I saw these but could never get past how bad the pick guard looked on the body...but that new pickguard you got on there makes this guitar look a 1000 times better! :ewok:
