Whoa whoa whoa, peppers are relevant to my interests. How are you growing them thangs? I've looked into it but I'm told that they're really susceptible to climate.

I have a garden at my work. I planted 2 habanero plants and 1 ghost pepper plant. The habeneros are growing like crazy. I can't keep up with them. I give most of them away to my employees. The ghost peppers are growing fine too but nowhere near the amount of the habeneros. I have not secrets about how to grow them, sorry. I think once we get a good frost they will be killed off.

Yeah I wouldn't do that, but I do have 2 of my employees cooking me up some habenero stuff. One is making me habenero cookies, and the other is making me habenero fudge. Yum.

I ordered one of the metallic purple Caroline Guitar Company Meteores from Prymaxe on Friday around noon EST. Their website says order by 3pm EST and it will ship out the same day. They didn't ship my pedal until Tuesday after I called and spoke with their "Customer Service" and he promised me it was picked up by USPS on Monday and it didn't go out Friday because of their system didn't clear my payment until after 3pm. I checked the tracking number they sent me Monday and there was no activity until yesterday at 3:30pm saying the package was picked up by the USPS from Prymaxe. They may have some cool pedals and decent sales but I'll never buy from them again. It took me 15 calls to finally get someone to answer the phone. I left 3 voicemails and sent 2 emails and got no call back and no emails. They straight up lied about shipping my pedal and were rude. Fuck prymax.

Oh and I love food. Yay food!

Last time I ordered from them (byoc kit) it took a while, then I had to deal with returns because they sent the wrong thing. Then about 3 weeks after I sent the thing back, I had to contact them again to see where my replacement was. They lady said they still don't have my return. WTF. Told her that they should have the tracking info (they sent me a prepaid return label), and perhaps she could check. Sure enough, they had it for about 2 weeks and my replacement had been sent like the day before I contacted them. Slow and frustrating. I understand people get backed up and mistakes happen, but shit. The 15-20% off wasn't worth it.

Yep, they straight up lie about same day shipping.

I'm ashamed to admit I bought a LOT of pedals from them...until they sent me a used Meet Maude. Yes, the item is on sale...but I did not order their "demo" Meet Maude for $280...I bought a $300 NEW one for 15% off. That little bit of adhesive residue on the bottom side, where 4 rubber feet had been installed was enough to cost them my typical $400-$600 a week pedal expenditures for the rest of all time. Bad for them, good for all the other pedal retailers.

Oh, and yea, screw that padded envelope bullshit too.

I love those little round yellow tomatoes...umm...grape tomatoes or some shit. They are so yummy and don't give me heartburn. Woot!

I think their selection and sales have gotten a lot less competitive lately. I've been mostly buying new from Chicago Music Exchange.

I don't remember how well their padded envelopes were packed but I've easily shipped more than 20 pedals packed tight in padded envelopes and have never had a problem :idk:

Pro Tip: Padded envelopes are for bags of guitar picks...not $300 electronics.

Only broken electronics I've ever received were shipped via a box :idk:

When it's surrounded by 3-4 inches of bubble wrap on all sides, doesn't really make a difference what it was in. Especially when it's inside another box with more bubble wrap in it.

I agree. Whilst I do prefer to use a box and tend to ship pedals in boxes, I've never had a single issue over the last six years of being and selling pedals using packets or jiffy bags. The majority of pedals already have their own boxes anyway, so double boxing isn't always necessary in my opinion. Bubble wrap and or newspaper usually suffices. And besides, pedals are extremely robust. I'd always use a box for a tube pedal, but not necessarily for something that's design to be stepped on thousands of times and is just a few components.

Yeah I always box but I'm not bummed when I receive a pedal that's in padding in an padded bag. That's plenty of protection.

Any love for coast sonic? I mostly buy from them now when I'm doing new but not direct from the builder.

I think as a company it smack as unprofessional as fuck to send your shit in padded envelopes. I don't believe I have ever done that, nor would I. A box does offer more protection even if you've had better luck with an envelope.

Also some people collect pedals and don't want their pedal box getting fucked up. I think that's reasonable if they paid for it.
