Paging Jurioste...
Got it!!! Thanks!!!
It was Jurioste, the great DBA hoarder of ILF.
Thaaaat's right!!!
Don't know how much of my soul I have left lol.
If the Super Sonic Fuzz Overload is priced at $1,500, I wonder how much I'd put my Armageddon or Assault System up for

lol
Either way... Most I've ever spent on a DBA custom was $700.

Jwar's comments about the WATAFUZZ and what not remind me of my Dan Armstrong. i bought that guitar for just a few hundred dollars and sold it for $1250.

That thing looks like it's been dunked in water and painted over.

I don't see the painted over part, but out of the few I've seen on eBay this was the cheapest and still up there. why is a 70s MXR envelope filter so costly? I haven't been able to dig up any info on them.

Sorry, it doesn't really look painted over.
I was really just referencing how the PCB and pots look like absolute shit, the enclosure itself looks damn nice.
But it's totally bullshit that it just "naturally" turned into that if the seller ever attempts to argue that (whether that's because it's been doused in beer or few too many times or because MXR had monkeys doing their soldering, I don't know).
I work on stuff that's 20 years older than that and some of it still looks brand new inside.

No it's not. It's from the foam MXR used to use. That shit was AWFUL. Not the first time I've seen this with their old stuff, by any means.

Man my dad has a 70s or 80s MXR Blue Box and that shit is just disintegrated all over on the inside. It's fucking nasty.
