he took a bunch of orders after getting a shark tank and posting all about his new pedals and having a sale with like discounted international shipping and stuff, so a bunch of people here were waiting on pedals, but most people either took months and months to get them with little or no communication, or got nothing at all and had to file paypal claims. dude kept posting about new pedals for a while but totally ignored our questions and stuff then eventually just deleted all his threads once shit got out of hand. i would have bought a SV at the time if he answered my bloody question but i guess i'm glad i didn't.

Wow, I left an a comment twice on that IG post, but he keeps deleting it. Why rip off another small builder's style so blatantly? I don't believe any thinking person would do that. I'm sure it's not a copy of any of my circuits, but it's clearly a biting my style. Oh well, I guess imitation is the highest form of flattery? Of course this stuff happens all the time in the amp building world, but it's definitely a first for me!

As for new stuff coming this year, I'm working on a ton of stuff, but focusing on getting amps out the door at the moment. I got really slammed right around the new year. Santa was good to y'all apparently.

I'll tell you what I have anti-GAS for: anything from Midnight Amplification Devices. Dude is deleting posts of dissatisfied buyers from his Shark Tank noting that:

- He takes about four months to send pedals with no communication, and makes excuses instead of just taking responsibility
- Pretty much only sends pedals once you have filed a Paypal dispute
- Lies about when he ships pedals

I guess the only good thing is that of the half dozen ILFers I've been in touch with, everyone gets their shit eventually, it's just like pulling teeth to even get a fucking response. So note that I'm not calling this dude a scam artist or ripoff, just stating he is not being transparent. And in the end who gives a shit, they're just pedals, right?

I don't know Nic personally, maybe he's a great guy in real life. But I think it's pretty disrespectful to take money from people then just leave them hanging, make excuses when called out, and offer them hollow gestures like a discount instead of just owning up to being overwhelmed with orders or whatever the case, while listing new pedals and promising a delivery time of two weeks when others have been waiting four months.

Maybe this is bad form and I am usually pretty drama-averse, but deleting posts of dissatisfied buyers is pretty weak.

Damn, I just went and saw my posts got deleted (except for the one where I talked about how good the pedal sounded). I mean shit, I wasn't even being mean in that thread, just said there was confusion / excuses with the shipping, and it took about 4 months to get my Holy Mountain. For shame. There's nothing wrong with telling people they'll probably have to wait 4 - 5 months when you're one guy with a lot of orders for pedals, but fer chrissakes, tell them.
