Can't let go of that gibbo, though it hardly ecer comes out of the case. The jazzmaster's my main squeeze. The pic came out way more shiny red and bright than the guitar really is.

Last but not least, my refinished and esquire'd '52 tele, aka 'the boat', nicknamed after its neck profile:

Is this one of those newer Japan jazzmasters with a changed pickguard + witch hats?
Looks great!

Love these Les Paul Special Lites! Great guitars. What pickups are those? These came stock with P-100's, yeah?

I asked about those in the beater thread, Kosta.

How're those pickups?
They work
Hard to tell how they compare to real gibson mini hums. I used to have a LP Deluxe, but that's such a different guitar I can't really tell how much of the difference is due to the electronics.
I like em better than the stock P100s, they're somewhat more single coil -like I guess. But I'm really too much of a fender fan boy to truely love a low end gibson, regardless of the pups that are in it...

Ouch! Those tuners are a prick to use. I recently got a Sqiuer Jag as well with those tuners. Only had to restring once so far after doing a few mods to it and I've never used them type of tuners before. I ended up with blood loss too.

First time in years. There must be an easier way!!!

Why not cut the string and stuck the end in the center before tuning it up? Pretty sure that's the whole point.
I greatly prefer those vintage style tuners for that exact function.

Yeah, I have only strung it once and I know I'm doing it wrong. I need a diagram.

Dude, that's exactly what those little holes are for. Stick your string ends in them before your wrap.

That makes a whole lot of sense. Thanks for the tip. I won't need to replace them now which is good cause I liked them apart from that. They hold tune very well and they look cool.
