That's awesome, Mudfuzz. I'm jealous.

Is there paint on the back of that neck?

Once you accept that there is no such thing as a transparent overdrive you have to accept that the only way for transparent tonez is a transparent guitar :!!!:
Man, you should start an Overkill cover band.

 there was at one point but someone refinished it, there is cream paint on the sand of the heal :idk: I love all the cig burns in the headstock :lol:The thing with these things is the body doesn't have a sound really, it just kind'a reflects, so you have to have a really good sounding neck, this is the third neck I've tried on this guitar, it took over a year to find this neck too… a 25.5 21 fret scale BC Rich neck is not easy to find.. and this this has to be the heaviest guitar I've ever played… it makes a LP real like a SG

The first serious guitar I ever had was an NJ Series BC Rich. Those necks play really well.

The only thing I hated about it was that thick coat... of... paint.

I think it varies for model and year, my guitarist has a 84 Warlock [in sparkly red  ] the this finish on the neck is the same as any fender lacquered neck :idk: that's what made me look for a NJ neck in the first place, it really is a cool guitar :thumb:

Mine was red too, not sparkly though. The back of the neck was painted the same color as the body. The paint was thick all over.

Oh, another thing I hated was the Kahler whammy bar.

really? I've always liked them… better than floyds anyway… they feel more bigsby to me which just works better for me, I hate start bases trems, they aggravate me for subtle stuff…

Well, it was OK to play, I just hated the fine tuners and the locking nut. I agree, I do like them better than Floyds.

I like Bigsbys much better.

Fuck yeah,
skullservant wrote:Thanks Schnikes! This is definitely my dream for it though, fully realized. It plays incredibly and the alumitone is the perfect pickup for the neck only configuration.

ALSO, that blue is NUTS Schnikes! Ghostly, pale, beautiful. I think those knobs set it off too
Alumitone convert! Fuck yeah. I've done the deathbuckers and have gone to those for my main and backup. Really enjoyed the p90 take on alumitones but not going there for live stuff. crazy good imo. Have you messed with the deathbuckers and if so how would you compare them?

Yeah I've slowly been creeping them into all of my guitars. I now have both basses loaded with Alumitones (the P's you sold me in my octave P bass, a J pickup in my J Bass Copy) and now the humbucker in the Telemaster.

I had a Deadbucker SUPER briefly, but I never actually installed it before I flipped it to buy something, I can't even remember what it was that I was after. I'd be curious to see how they compare as well.

From my experience with this regular Alumitone, I could barely hear it when it was split, which kinda sucked. Don't know if I was doing something wrong or not but it didn't seem like I was

An eighty dollar Squier Bullet Strat I picked up earlier in the week.

Had to sand out some pretty vicious knicks in one of the frets
