Just finished the first season of Kaiji. I think it's going to take a while before I can jump into the second season though, god damn it was really intense.

Guys, I just finished Sword Art Online and I'm about halfway through Gurren Laggan. I really like bleak/dark anime, sci-fi, and high fantasy based stuff. What should I be watching next?

Texhnolyze? Ghost in the Shell Standalone Complex? Gurren Lagan is so amazingly ott, luv it.

Standalone Complex is excellent, nice blend of cyberpunk and cop story. Recommend it highly. And since you saw season 1 of SAO and liked it, check out season 2. Dunno if its online yet, but I'm waiting for the dub anyway.

Also I need vinyl figures in my life. Not a stupid amount. Just a few. The Sh.H Monster arts Godzilla 2014 is on that list. And Canti too.

Anyone know of any more psychological Animes? I really love Ergo, Lain and Eva and I need see watch some more mindfuckingly bizarre shows.

Have you seen Kaiji? Definitely not the sort of psychological anime you are thinking of but man it's really good, art style is a nice change of pace as well. I also watched the first episode of Shinsekai Yori recently and it looks like it could either be a) pretty amazing or b) full of melodrama of the worst kind.

Thinking of Serial Experiments, anyone seen Dennou Coil?
