And the Echolution is such a badass pedal. Such an inspiring thing to play. I had never even thought about it until recently, and I have to say it's pretty underrated.

Nice board, I'm glad you are likin the Echolution. If I wasn't getting away from bigger weird power requirement pedals to smaller and 9v only pedals I would still have it. I should be getting me sparkle motion today. I'm super excited to try it out.

Yea, I think the echolution has some negatives (no tap in mod, and it's hard to time your loops without an led for tempo), but overall I think it's those type of obstacles that make it unique. It forces you to look at it a little differently.

Despite being pretty much set at delay the Echolution still intrigues me and I'll probably end up with one sooner rather than later.

What's the power issue with it? Big voltage/current draw?

Yea, honestly now is the time to buy because of timeline fever. I figure, i'll probably sell my m9 and try out the other "cool" delays. Then when I'm ready to try the timeline they'll come down in price. Maybe...

^ Might take a bit before Timelines come down in price. What 'cool' delays are you looking at?

I was thinking about something like the MLjr., the El Cap (trying it again), maybe super delay? I'll more than likely replace my m9 with an RC-30.

I got a switch to allow one of the oscillators to be turned off (aka 2525), and I had the texture control taken off and added a high pass filter (which surprisingly changes the texture AND tone). The 2525 is awesome, and more manageable, and the 4545 is just beastly. I feel all of my squelchy, gated, ripping, oscillation, weirdness is taken care of.

2525 mod not helping 4545 GAS!

Was it too harsh with the texture alone, thus the high pass filter? I really want but I'd like to dial the craziness out occasionally, this may be the version for me...

Honestly I find that a clean blend works better with the 4545...keep the crazy just quiet it down. You should try mine Holy Schnikes

We're definitely overdue, need to hook up a St. Louis pedal party.

I have a Poly-Grace, Faye Sing, and Black Forest all incoming, then my boards are complete and ready to go.

So today was "try all my dirt at once to see what I'm keeping" day. It sucks because some things that I really like on bass I don't at all on guitar, and vice versa. Also, I continue to completely fail at things like not shaking while taking a picture, having quality lighting, and using something other than a terrible camera phone, but whatevs.

The English Muffin is nice, I used it as my only guitar overdrive/distortion for about a year. I like it significantly better on guitar than bass. I got it used and it came with two 12ax7 tubes, but they come stock with 12ay7s, and I think it would probably sound better that way. I think the higher output of my bass plus the higher gain of 12ax7's was too much for it. As it is now, it can get kinda raspy/harsh when you crank the gain knob. The raspy-ness can be tamed somewhat with the highs knob, but it can be hard to find a happy medium between raspy and muffled when you really have the gain cranked. I do really like it as a heavy overdrive/not metal distortion, though. Sounds pretty close to what I think of as the Marshall sound. That being said, it's probably going to be headed to the B/S/T, as I'm too lazy to research the best/cheap 12ay7's and I actually like the Behringer Vintage Tube Monster (good god could they have picked a worse name?!?) for what I was doing with it.

Edit: Also, for reference, my only guitar is a strat, and my main bass is a P/J that's on the hot side.

My board for the band I just joined. The empty spot will house the footswitch for a Mesa F-50/random nonsense.
