Fuck that.
I understand this thread as one made for outrageously *good* deals that pop up online, but ever since I've started following it there seem to be more posts about outrageously *bad* deals. Tbf there's definitely more of the latter than of the former
Probably because we don't want the lurkers stealing the good ones.

^ The smart way to do it.

I get that whole vintage thing, but I dunno....maybe I'm biased against rats but there are still a fix ton of elaborations on that circuit done better and cheaper.
I feel the same way about vintage muffs and superfuzzes, too.
Yeah they're great, but I don't want a "piece" that I pull out for recording and wanking off over, "oh yeah, that hazy later underneath the lead and the rhythm tracks you can't even hear is an og Rams head...."
If it sounds good live then I'll use it live and if I get to record with it then bonus.

UG has a vastly different situation from my own though, which I totally understand, but I think for the most of us working 9-5s or whatever, that sort of thing is the domain of professional wankers.

So in other words, this is a thread masquerading as a "hot deal" thread to throw off the scent while the big boss players trade information about the actual deals. Too bad that would be KRAZYYYY (let me in)

Pretty good deal. But keep in mind it's post-holiday season, so real deals are few & far between (just wait until NAMM is over, though, maybe) & tragically ludicrous ones are more likely. Also, if you know what you're looking for, keeping your eyes peeled doesn't hurt (actually, it kind of does): for example: can you wait & hunt for a $100 Rainbow Machine, or do you want one for $175 right now? And if I want a third or fourth Rainbow Machine, what's stopping me from snagging the $100 for myself (because of reasons)? Plus, you could always place a WTB thread in B/S/T if you feel like shaking the ILF tree, you know?

Also, the internet is your friend & loves capitalism :excellent:.

I mean, it's more like a "This pedal that's not sold often is actually on sale" thread. Or when we want to discuss any said deals. :idk:
I've sometimes posted stuff here hoping one of us picks it up (and flips it to me at an opportune time. :excellent:)

The 1100--TT has made its way back to dealers and three shops currently have these in small quantities.

 I don't think it's that pernicious, but I've definitely PM'd people if I see a good deal on something that I know they're looking out for.

I'm still learning the ropes of buying online (haven't had to sell yet either) but I feel like I've gotten decent deals so far. What was exciting about yesterday was the two pedals I had been eyeing (a wah and bit quest) both got listed at a good price. So now I've gotta start gassing for something else I guess
