I agree with what D.o.s pointed out, it's a bedroom record. Listened to it earlier today in the background and thought it was ok. TO be honest i haven't paid much attention, but i could listen to Cave reading a shopping list and enjoy it anyway.

I have been listening to this in the last couple of days and i think it's really good:

New King Gizzard, LW, is also great. I felt like their last album, KG, was a bit too similar to Microtonal Banana with some songs even feeling like b-sides, but this one is definitely a thing of its own and it's awesome

Guess I was looking forward to this new Eyelet that technically released Dec. 31 2020, so count that. Got the (red) LP a week ago and it's awesome. Very heavy-sounding and sludgier than before, but still with fast parts. Almost a late Portraits of Past vibe at times.

I agree that the Shame record - Drunk Tank Pink - was great, didn't someone mention that?

Bailter Space - Wammo is getting reissued, might cop that, possibly along with some of last year's Joy Division represses.

Have to get a lid for my turntable so it doesn't collect so much dust.

I'm enjoying the new Eyehategod track. I think the new album should drop in a week or so.

Huh new St Vincent single isn't godawful. Cautious... optimism? (I found very little to like about the previous album)

So this is out now. Mike's vocals seem a wee bit too high on some of the tracks, but not all. Otherwise it's business as usual, which means it's great. Not quite as strung out and miserable as the early stuff, but the Jimmy Bower riffery is 10/10.
