I hope this shit doesn't mess up my non bitcoin investments like Nvidia which has beneffitted from bitcoin mania as people are using their gpus to mine the stuff apparently.

basically either btc turns around or dumps down and decouples as the leader - this would definitely cause massive disruption but until we get fiat/crpyto pairs for more of the major currencies then unfortunately it seems that everything is at the mercy of btc. i don't even know if that would even change things though? take a look at almost every single 7-day chart on cmc and notice how similar they all are.
