Ditto. That, and the Neunaber Shimmer algo with shimmer turned all the way down. It's like Wet but a touch thicker.

I use it for spring reverb now because I have been really into Lee Perry and space echos recently but I still prefer real life springs since you can kick 'em but my combo amp is direly in need of new tubes and I only use it at home.

That's pretty much all the verbs I have used (well the polara too but its the same as my hardwire except without the sick industrial gate mode and crappy shimmer instead)
Ok Fuck this; RV-3 is the shit, Looking to pick up an RV-2 sometime to see if it's any sicker

I've not tried a million. The Dr Scientist RRR was my favourite for a long time, it's very simple and just sounds nice.

But the only one I have kept till now is the RM-1N. It's not really that versatile for such a huge pedal but it sounds magical.

I mostly use amp verb (Gemini and Katana), but I supplement with Afterneath and Mercury 7, and love them both equally.

I have the same feeling with the RRR.

I also love my boss RV-5. Love the reverb and delay in one unit.

Miss my Alesiss Midiverb ii, so many great reverb settings.

ILF's Lubdar operates under Blacksky Craft. He made a Solaris Reverb that is an adaptation (not clone) of the DBA Sunnyside Reverb. It's one of my forever pedals let alone favorite reverb pedal. Instant goth-girl-confidential and through instant drone-y feedback back. You know how an MS-20 can go from polite ambient to the rude mean monophonic machine it's known for? Apply that to a reverb pedal and that's the Solaris. It was only like... $120 too.

I also have a Alesis Wedge that I adore. I think I paid all of $40 for it.
I have and use my Cathedral all the time too. I got it when it came out.... so paid full price. I'm amazed more people don't snag them cause they go for under $130 most days.

I haven't used either of those, but my favourite is RV-5's modulated reverb. &, honestly, the Digitech Digiverb gated reverb is really fantastic. Not just "for its price". It's just great.

I really like my Supermoon Chrome. The modulation is really rad and doesn't get overtaken by high gain signals. The verb really fills things out nicely without getting in the way of my fuzz. Just kinda adds this undulating wail into my top end and everything sits together really well.

Other than that I really liked the Red Panda Context when I had one, might have to get one again...

GFI Systems Specular Tempus is the most 3D to me. I also dig the Meris Mercury 7 a lot. They both record really well. About to try the Orion Effeckte. I've tried just about everything else over the years.

this is as good a place as any to ask this: are there any reverb pedals that sound similar to the DBA Reverberation Machine on the dark setting (not cranked up to overdrive the signal), but don't mess with the dry signal?

I really like the sound of the DBA, but the high end roll off/ bass boost on the dry is kind of a bummer.

Reverb only: Meris Mercury 7.
I used to have a Digitech Supernatural and that was also a rad pedal, which I've eventually sold because I got a Zoom MS70CDR, which is also in my top reverb list, together with the Meris and the Line6 HX stomp.

Isnt that based of the accutronics brick thats in alot of pedals and diy projects? there may be some filtering but its probably not a very engineered pedal [prejudices]

I have listened to some demos of the 2 and it is more "extreme" than the 3 like its more hugeass rack style reverbs and not very realistic since its old and tech didnt sound like a plate. It is also more low res and you can hear artifacts from the converters. Never played a digiverb but considering one between two hardwires cause the reverse had dry. The hardwire is well worth the money it goes for though

I use modulate on 5 and reverb+delay on 6. I kinda want a pedal with church/cathedral verb though. The Digiverb church sounds great, but the gated setting sounds amazing, so that's what I'm using it for. RV-6's shimmer is also very cool at low EQ btw, though it can get out of hand easily.

I don't like the Digiverb reverse myself. To me it sounds like quite the volume drop. (Not that noticeable at super loud volumes, but still.) I use the Hardwire with a line-selector that does A+B mix with level knobs.

I've found that the Dr. Scientist Atmosphere is my perfect verb. I use the Hall and Spring settings the most (I know I'm boring here). It brings up the volume but doesn't sound fake or have any weird artifacts unless that's what you want. I like that I was able to adjust it so much to my liking and add LFO on there if so desired.

Really, it's perfect IMO.
