It'd be horrible (as most American adaptations are), but Ryan Gosling'd shine.

Best American adaptation is FUNNY GAMES U.S. and that's because the guy who did the original did a shot by shot remake ha-ha! I actually prefer it over the original.

I generally love off the beaten path, so yay

The most needless adaptation I can think of is Let the Right One In. I think the remake was shot for shot (I had no interest in seeing it), basically just for lazy Americans who don't wanna "read their movies."

Slow moving is fine. I generally love the subtle building of Asian Cinema.

LET THE RIGHT ONE IN was perfect (except for that one scene with questionable CGI). I saw the trailer for LET ME IN and just couldn't make myself see it.

Then again, you would think with the marketing of MANCHESTER BY THE SEA, that is was some Michelle Williams vehicle and it is anything but that...that movie is masterpiece (used that word twice today).

Simon and Nick are great in everything theyre in together, though.
Spaced is still fucking great.
