The Pedals and Effects blog has really cool interviews with a few of those makers. I enjoyed Ryan's interview in particular.

From my experience as HC mod back in the day, roughly a quarter of builders are gigantic babbys. ILF peoples mostly seem to buck that trend, thankfully (at least on the surface).

Wait, irony doesn't come across the internet like it does in person? I will say that the bass-drive is a terrific pedal, though I'm thinking of selling it because I like the Markbass Mini-Distortion better for bass.
