Skillz. They permabanned my account, unfortunately. It was for something not even close to the worst thing I've done or said on that forum, also. I just said that rockers tend to be extremely stupid and boring, and the TGP is evidence of this. Some guy countered that his band is made up of two PhDs: one nuclear physicist and an engineer. I reasoned that this makes sense, as the only people more stupid and boring than rockers are science PhDs, who tend to be some of the least creative and most dull-minded human beings on the planet. So if you're drawing up a venn diagram of the dull-minded and boring, you will expect some overlap of rockers and science PhDs.
So sensitive to righteous truth.

I mean, literally the stupidest and least creative person I've ever met in my life was an engineering PhD amirte?
neways, you never know about people. For example, I know this guy who is flat out genius level when it comes to Rousseau. We can both read the same passage, and this guy's reading will make me feel like an idiot every time. So I really respected him, and we would have drinks and talk, and the whole time we never brought up music. So then the other day he confessed that he really loves the Smashing Pumpkins. Wtf was I going to do? Walk out? Punch him? It was a weird situation.
That shit just happens, you know, like finding out someone you really respect is a secret racist, or a fan of Radiohead. You just never know.

I have no prejudice against Fulltone. I'm just laughing cause of that other thread. That's how my days on ILF are going these days.

I'm not saying all 90s rock sucked, just the vast majority of it. There were some incredible bands that came out of the 90s: Brainiac, Melt Banana, Lightning Bolt. But generally, was a fucking wasteland of angst-rockers and frat-metal.

I have made it no secret I love LIGHTNING BOLT. Literally the reason I have a BOSS SD-1. Good enough for Brian Gibson, good enough for me.

True.. but then the best of the early to mid "90's bands" were 80's bands...

all the "grunge bands" that were any good all started recording in the 80's... and they all lost their magic once they got popular for what ever reason

as for the frat-metal.. yeah.. that sucked and it fucking won't go away...
