As previously mentioned, here's the Supro guitar lineup for 2017. They're obviously inspired updates of vintage Valco models. (Supro, National, and Airline were all Valco brands. After merging with Kay in 1967, the company ceased operations in 1968.)

Sound clips and additional pics are available here:

Why aren't you just using the NAMM thread? :idk:

I've been posting updates in both threads, but I started this thread to summarize several recent and upcoming announcements that weren't NAMM-related. That's one reason. Secondly, winter NAMM is *4 days out of 365, so a lot of gear won't be available until May...June...July...November. Thirdly, many builders will never go to NAMM due to financial and travel logistics, and I wanted to highlight their stuff, too.

edit: 4, not 3

1. So, it's the same thing as the NAMM thread?
2. I thought that was what the sunday GAS thread was for.

Carry on, I mean, we have threads about goth chicks and whatnot. I was just curious.

That thread is for products exhibited at the Winter NAMM show in Anaheim (January 19-22). ---This thread is for 2017 gear (which NAMM releases can overlap with, but it's not restricted to NAMM). When NAMM concludes on January 22nd, there will be 343 days left in the year for more gear announcements. I intend to update this thread periodically with those pending announcements, until the current calendar year has concluded.

Once again, this thread is for:

People are welcome to use that thread and other threads however they want to, but I wanted to make a thread for 2017 stuff...not for 2004, 2010, 1988, or 2012. I already lived through all those years, so I don't need to rewind the clock to see that stuff again. I already know what was made in those years.

Don't know exactly what's going on in this thread, but you will all be hearing from my lawyers. :idk:

MacBeth posted these photos earlier today, but don't expect to see the Exacta right away (possibly April at SuperBooth in Berlin). Of course it's MacBeth, so this will likely carry a price in excess of $3,500 USD. Anyway...it is gorgeous nonetheless.
