My band recorded our song last night. It went really well. I don't have the best recording set up, and I'm still learning the best way to go about it, but I'm hoping to upgrade as the year goes on. We definitely got something that is usable.

Sorry it didn't work out this month, but I'm glad it did motivate you!

Coming up to the end of the month! Hope everyone is doing good. I'm excited to hear everything.

Anyone have any suggestions for themes for next month?

Awesome! I look forward to hearing it. I'll post the songs first thing tomorrow, so you still have time to finish.

The theme for February, unless someone has another suggestion in the next couple hours, will be "A Long Winter".

The whole month of January I wrote half a song.

February first I sat down and wrote a full song in an hour and a half.

The song I wrote today had nothing to do with the theme, but I do like that one and already have an idea. :)*

A long winter, I dig it. I think I got the shitty folk tunes out of my system. Maybe.

For January I set aside a couple of days to write. I ended up cleaning the house instead and then had a family emergency the next.

This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.
