Hehe yeah I thought it was a good plan. We're not religious at all either, our tree is a 32" plastic tree with the fiber optic lights built in.

Yeah my sister and bro-inlaw always go saw one down.. it kind of irritates me. My kid thinks this plastic $15 jobber is the bees knees too.

For some reason I will always associate lethal weapon 2 with Christmas.

Yeah, that sucks.
Back in the '80s my dad would borrow his neighbor's backhoe and remove/replant a new fir in his front/side yard every year.

I guess it was pretty sad when he found out that the guy that bought his house cut every single one down a few years after moving in.
