Turkey and potatoes suck. So does cranberry sauce. So does overindulging in consumer culture but I guess it's ok if you can pretend to be a communist on the internet.
Not really related but funny:
And speaking of only seeing nationalities:

Get better kids?

I fucking died.
For reals. Little bastards should be thankful for my benevolence every day of the year. not just this one magical day.
Actually now that I think about it, that is pretty much why I hate it.
Get along with your parents.
Be nice to them.
Buy them a cool birthday present.
Go listen to Sabbath on vinyl with them.
Build lego with them.
I just hate that idea of condensing what is a really complicated relationship into one day a year and a shitty present no-one cares about. And all the bullshit marketing about what to buy your beloved mum/dad.
Christmas on the other hand is awesome.
So best. So much good food. And small things to open.

It's kinda like women's day or earth day. The feel good getaway to being a macho carbon factory

Come on, guys. Thanksgiving isn't the only day that celebrates mass murder. There's Columbus Day and Remembrance Day too.

Columbus Day actually was originally petitioned by Italian American groups in the late 1800s as they were an oppressed minority (in part due to anti-Catholic sentiment).
Sooooo, people who oppose Columbus Day should do their research and check their privilege.

There is more to do than going about it in a sad suburban version, plus it's the only time you can find house decorations for the rest of the year in abundance.

Not quite convinced that the fact that an oppressed group (who are not Caribbean) petitioned to celebrate a murderous slave-runner makes it a good idea to celebrate a murderous slave-runner.

Are we the only one to celebrate the WW1 and WW2 armistices? War being over is a cool thing to celebrate I think.

America would have too many holidays because we're so awesome at war.
