Eleven was on Colbert and she taught me that it was short for "Before Anyone Else".
Welcome to being old.

I've never heard it as an acronym...I just thought it was laziness. And that doesn't make me dislike it any less.

This.
I'm only 20 and I could rebuild my house if it were necessary.
Quit acting like paying your bills is an accomplishment.

This thread has confirmed that living alone (well, with a parent) and running a home business that requires very little interaction with other people is the best thing ever.

Also,
"Bouncing an idea off someone" is one of the dumbest phrases I've heard in a workplace.
and
Having a "real" _____ (profession, relationship, vehicle, etc.). Unless everything/everyone you interact with is in a virtual world on the computer, it's real.
Just because someone doesn't work a 9-5 in a high-rise or isn't married with two kids and living in a two story house with a white picket fence that doesn't mean what they do or how they live is imaginary. It just means you think your life is boring.

"Why can't you just be happy? It's not hard, look!" or "Just try being happy!" Thank god my parents quit touting that one.
"Just got out and find friends!"

Any statement that makes MDD look like a quick fix.

As a person diagnosed with OCD and general anxiety, phrases like "just think of something else" are getting old. Bitch, I've been trying to master that art for 29 years. :joy:
