So what's the difference between this and your Starlight flanger? Inquiring minds much know! It sounds less metallic than the Starlight which is a HUGE plus for me.
Heh, sorry if that came out a bit harsh, the demo just did not give me a good impression of the pedal and I have too many blue boxes around.brian m wrote:frodog wrote:Haha, what the fuck was that demo about. Just... no.
I like SubDecay and their shapes, but it's a blue flanger, so there's zero chance I'm buying this.
Not a big deal man. I had a really hard time rationalizing a flanger being blue. Flangers are purple or metalic.... maybe even pink. I was pretty stuck on the "blue shift" name though. How could it be purple when it says BLUE right on the front of the pedal???frodog wrote:Heh, sorry if that came out a bit harsh, the demo just did not give me a good impression of the pedal and I have too many blue boxes around.brian m wrote:frodog wrote:Haha, what the fuck was that demo about. SO yes, if it came in any other colour there is maybe a 1% chance I'm buying it, because I need a flanger.
There is some info earlier in the thread. Main difference is a shorter delay line that pushes the flanger sweep higher.jwar wrote:So what's the difference between this and your Starlight flanger? Inquiring minds much know! It sounds less metallic than the Starlight which is a HUGE plus for me.

Somehow this made me want a pedal that sounds the equivalent to a chameleon's eyes. Random metallic flange in a stereo setting.goroth wrote:Guys, blue is actually just blue shifted purple. So technically this is a purple flanger that is located a number of light years away from us moving at near relativistic speed.
Yes, that's what I want too.brian m wrote: Basically we want feedback.
