What a lot of those TB asshat's don't know is that Spencer has done a LOT of fucked up shit that Doug has only shared with a select few people. I happen to be one and won't say what it was because I respect the man. Doug, not Spencer.

Doug barely knows me, but is a friend. I mean, he bought me fucking dinner with Sheldon Dingwall and his whole crew and treated me like I was one of the gang. Who does that? A sincere, great human being, that's who.

Spencer is a spiteful little twerp. He'll learn later in life. Dude is only like 24-25, so with age, hopefully comes wisdom.

Can we cut Spencer a little break because he seems to like purple?

Spencer did this for two years, then a conflict arose, which I can't talk about and he tried to hold his designs hostage. Then he tried to sell his prototypes and other devices which he was paid to return. He STOLE them and sold them illegally.


Let me ask anyone who is dull enough to believe Spencer's defense. Do you know how much it costs to anodize plates? I do. Do you honestly think Douglas left him with that much stock? Because I purchase 50 fucking pedals off of Spencer that were Darkglass and he claimed to ONLY have 20 more of various kinds and didn't have any extra plates. I tried to buy them. My point is, all Doug's plates are black. To anodize them, you'd start out with the base color and then have them chemically done. That means he had new plates made. Which means he probably had new enclosures drilled as well. Why wouldn't he capitalize on the success he felt entitled to?

At this point my reasons for checking Talk Bass are to see if someone is selling any remarkable pedals at a decent price (the answer is always no, unless it is someone who also posts here) or because I was looking for a demo/review that is bass specific and google gives me nothing better. It's likea few steps above TGP.

W/r/t Spencer, i was an embarrassing person when i was 24 or 25. Maybe he'll learn, but it's no one's job to sit through shit like this.

to me it seems that Spencer is giving only partially true information and leaving out other important parts. He probably knows Doug is too nice/smart to create more drama so he purposefully is giving out an unfair story. regardless Spencer won't be able to get away from being a douche because what he did was very douchey and unethical.
