Blunderbuss gas rising.

Blunderbuss is fucking awesome, more raw than the Musket which can sound kind of dull and grey in comparison.
ARC Big Green is also awesome, although I am biased my Tall Font is more on the fuzzstortion side of muffland and Aaron expanded on it with the 3 way tone switch for mids.
Forgot that the Big Green is based on one of your muffs. The Blunderbuss is sounding better and better.

I have somehow managed to never have a tone machine.

Indeed. Whiskey had one for a bit, didn't he?

Looking this one up based on name alone.

true true, but there were some other unobtanium pedals mentioned so I figured why not turn the OP onto some serious GAS cause they do show up for sale and it would be in their interest to look into what it is
Also dibs on your never flip of that tri-muff

well if you ever want to drop that amp on fire maybe we can make a deal

Yeah there have been 3-4 floating around here that I can remember. Usually you see them with a Black Russian base, though, not the NYC muff like UG's, which would make a fairly significant difference.

Yeah, I've actually only seen the Black Russian ones.
So, are Megaliths still highly regarded?

I finally got a chance to play a Megalith and I was impressed with the string definition, for being so fuzzy and saturated. Its kinda muffy. It doesnt do low gain really but you can dial back the roar if need be.
Tone Machines have this sweet mechanical whiring quality to it, kinda fuzzstortiony like a muff. But the octave is nasty, more so than a super fuzz but probably not as crazy as scrambler.

Our very own schlatte makes a mean uber muff. Choose your base, couple clipping options and dat pregain stage. Kind of like a megalith but can do lower gain.

recently acquired a deluxe big muff... totally blown away by it. $100 used at GC. they go for $120 new.
i guess mike matthews just sought out to create a muff that could do what some modern builders did; a muff that could sound like basically any muff with some tweaking...
a bass boost, high and low q switch, (and footswitchable second level and frequency for the mids... BOOM), an attack switch that blends in some clean frequencies for serious chord/note definition, and a really nifty gate that actually quiets it down dead silent!
kit rae did a great thingy on it and included some suggestions/templates on how to get certain sounds-
and if that's not enough for ya', here's shitty videos of me playing with it!
