I really think that if there was another one of me this World might be another place... I'm already the Old Soul so if there was another me stealing my years the balance would be off but I still think there might be... Maybe if he steals enough of me noaw then when I come back around I'll be able to clone him and level up...

the thing is that the market go nuts with muffs, rats, klone's, etc, so there's no much motivation to do interesting things and is easier to clone and get a quick profit, than research and develop something new or more complex. I'm tempted everyday to do a rat, a muff because i think it will sell quicker and have more market, but then i check ilf, and
and want to cv everything

Re: What are you thoughts on cloners?
The amp cloning thing gets weird.
Do you give someone a hard time for selling a clone of the Deluxe Reverb on the old-style eyelet boards (although usually fiberglass boards instead of the old paper-based stuff that could soak up humidity and develop awful capacitance problems) when Fender has a pretty electronically accurate Deluxe Reverb reissue out that's built on printed circuit boards?
Marshall has reissued their 18 watt and 20 watt models, but that's in large part driven by boutique companies and especially the DIY world already taking on that space in a big way. Arguably, Marshall is stepping on everybody else's toes in that case.
Dumble cloning is interesting because, yes there is the cost savings on unobtainium, but some of the models being reproduced or used for inspiration are designs the fat man has moved away from. More in line with ILF, Orange has not been building amps with their classic circuits, so that looks like open season to fill the void those dumb fucks left open.
I've got to figure cloning a current production amp with an inconsistent production history or periodic circuit changes is as fair game as a Tube Screamer or Muff clone. The lame thing, beyond how few really chase unique refinement of the circuits, is the cosmetic closeness of a lot of amp clones. Really isn't hard to change that up a bit more, guys.

it's How you interact in the community. with your fellow music and gear lovers.
i understand wanting/ needing to make a living.
But.
Math and Science Exists. with or without us.
some Minds can "crack" the codes .. and make Rad effects.
most people ( especially the ILF crowd !! Holaaa )
can tell the Artist's and Hep Cats that do it .. with Heart
from the shills.
