I fucking hate Fedex, seriously. It's convenient if you are shipping something large because it's relatively inexpensive compared to USPS, but when USPS' priority mail AT MAX only takes 3 days to get to you compared to pretty much a week+ with FedEx, you really gotta wonder where all the money you are paying to ship it goes.
I've had a guitar in limbo with Fedex for 15 days now. It was shipped November 24th and I still don't have it. The driver 'missed' my wife and I conveniently 3x at my house, so I told them to hold it at the FedEx Office down the street, and that was 6 days ago. It hasn't left the hub. I went to try to pick it up from the hub yesterday and they tell me it's on a truck to be delivered today. Then it's scanned in back at the hub this morning. And the worst part is there doesn't seem to be any reprocussion or anything. I've told a handful of FedEx employees I'm sure glad this wasn't medication that my life depended on. /rant

Saw your IG post about this a minute ago. You have a phone number and a good point of distress to voice. Make. Their. Lives. Hell.

They just called me back, they found it, and are holding it for me in the pickup cage. Told them I would be in in the morning to grab it, that I wasn't making a special trip or going out of my way tonight after already spending so much time on it. I'll be down by the hub anyways for work tomorrow. Unfuckingreal.

Good. I hope you made a point that if it's not in the cage when you do come for it tomorrow there will be hell to pay. Shipping anything and everything, buying or selling is a nightmare on some level.

Like what if this was my grandmas blood pressure medication? I sure don't think she could have lasted 15 days without it. I understand that there was a holiday involved but still. Puts a horrible taste in my mouth

Have them reimburse the shipping. They clearly didn't deliver the proper service you paid for.

Oh
Good points. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable on any level.

I've had great experiences with USPS except one time, when a Donner micro pedal from China was held at a different Post Office for some reason, and I had to call a bunch of times and track it down, and then they still didn't release it for another couple days. I assumed that Donner must have written the wrong address, forgot the zip code or whatever, but there was nothing wrong with the labeling. Total mystery.
I think Fed Ex Ground uses freelance drivers here (no uniforms, random trucks) so they don't always know what they're doing. Fed Ex is the worst. USPS is the best, they have a key to the hallway door, so I never have to sign for anything, and everybody in the building is cool.

I ordered two pairs of solderless 1/4" plugs and a foot of solderless cable from a shop on eBay up in Washington. Tracking hasn't updated in almost a week since it supposedly left the USPS facility in Yakima. Starting to get bummed.

Sometimes USPS sucks around the holidays. They'll probably get there soon!

Oh man. They finally made it to Oakland this morning. But I'm still haven't gotten them, they were on a truck for delivery but around 11AM the truck turned around and dropped it off at a post office.

The same thing happened with a trade I did recently, delivery date was supposed to be yesterday but tracking info stated that it arrived in bangor then shipped to ellsworth (?) then tracking info stated that it was out for delivery in which I waited for it to arrive pretty much all day, then I checked tracking info before I crashed out last night still out for delivery

finally showed up today..........long story short usps tracking is unreliable.

Fedex is terrible. Fedex employees are terrible people.
