Re: Frankenstein's Lab! [SHOW YOUR PROJECTS THREAD]
^Hotness. So you scratched it up and let it sit in water this whole time? I've thought about doing that to other things but didn't follow through...
Forgot to install the battery thing lel

It looks different in pictures than it does in real life, the lighting does weird things. I can't take a pic of it without the glossy finish and still keep the colors from looking messed up.
I sprayed all the hardware black and am giving the Jazz bridge pickup one more chance. The Ric humbucker died a while ago on the operating table when I tried reattaching the wires coming from one of the coils...but it's better dead than as a single coil. Oh well.
Shortly after these were taken, I held it up to get a better pic in the light and knocked a chip out of the headstock paint
edit: Actually these might be a little closer:

The Fender Jags originally came with really boring passive pickups and an active preamp, so I threw it away and the pickups became refrigerator magnets. Now there's a super secret storage compartment.skullservant wrote:What's the battery for again?
I thought about putting the Blowing Up guts in there somewhere, but the mudbucker takes up all the room...
Nice.Mudfuzz wrote:oh and no not just water.. salt & water
You know, you can do some shallow etches using a tub full of salt water, a car battery charger, a wire and two pieces of metal...

God damn that finish is so sweet. It looks like it was fished out of a lake.

Thanks mang, I liked the previous green but this one's way closer to the finish I originally wanted. It's a learning experience.

Re: Frankenstein's Lab! [SHOW YOUR PROJECTS THREAD]

Found some parts that I could make a working trem out of, then had a good/bad idea...
Also the arm is holding on for dear life with the help of some loctite.
