I think the term itself is as defunct as calling somebody a "rocker" (cringe). To me the person I think people are grasping at when they say Hipster is "Trendy asshole".

^^^ yeah, a sense of unjustifiable elitism is alluded to by the present-day common usage of that word. And let's face it; it's the Conventionalist's "N-Word", their way of fighting back for all the ridicule they've endured from "hipsters" for watching movies like Navy Seals and listening to music like Toto and 38 Special

I went to see "The Way, Way back" today, and there was a good amount of product placement by PBR. People drinking it throught the movie, but also a big pbr poster in oen of the restaurants the main character went into, and you don't even get to see him eat.

You know every time I meet someone into PBR I ask why and they say it awesome and I just look at them... then they go "well it's better then bush or Bublight, keystone or Rainier"
well #1 everything is better then Rainier... second ok it might be the bess shitty, week 'merican style beer.. but that does not make it not gross.

Modernday nerds and Hipsters are the same thing now though, the guys have shitty beards and glasses, the girls have bright coloured hair and they both buy useless shit off etsy. While wearing ironic 80s tshirts and liking things the casuals don't know about. :idk:

Ouch! Last time I had Natty Bo, I was at a punk show. The bar was selling them for $2 a can. If I remember correctly, PBR on draft at the Black Cat in DC, goes for $3.

I think I paid $10 for a pack of american spirits in NYC. Insane!

Three dollar beers? My local bar sells PBR for a dollar a glass!

I enjoy it since it's a good cheap beer. I guess I'm a hipster for enjoying cheap beers, but I'm also a hipster for enjoying expensive beer. Everyone really needs to figure out if hipsters buy cheap stuff or expensive stuff; you can't have it both ways.

it's not what you do, its why you do it. If you drink pbr solely to look cool, then yeah. If you actually like it or its all you can afford, then no. If you really worry about being called a hipster, then yeah.
