hey, if you don't have the common sense to use earplugs--and that's not being condescending...i didn't wear them for the MBV show and my ears rang for A WEEK--that's not my fault.

So, for about a few weeks last fall semester, I legitimately could not hear to a functional amount. I was at about 30% normal hearing capacity. If my roommate was talking to me on the couch, and I wasn't looking at him and reading his lips, I would just be completely unaware of what he was saying. Couldn't hear cars coming, couldn't hear my boss telling me anything, couldn't hear professors tell me shit, had to turn up all of my amps all the way (well, they were already that way, go figure I couldn't hear right hahahaha so funny fuck you).

So, what had happened was that both of my ears were completely impacted with ear wax. I don't use Q-tips or anything, this just apparently happens to me every so often. Got my ears cleaned out and suddenly everything was painfully loud. It was god awful. I wore shotgun earmuffs just around the house for a few days.

All I'm saying was, I kinda enjoyed not being able to hear very well. Looking forward to that future of mine.

Yes, I'm an asshole. No, I don't know what this had to do with anything discussed previously.

Having your ears cleaned out is super gross, man.
But so good afterward.

Sometimes I fantasize about not being able to hear people's bullshit anymore.
Especially when inconsiderate assholes bring their screaming brats out to theaters and restaurants, then tune them out as tantrums are thrown....instead of removing them and you know, make an attempt at parenting for once.

If you're going to lose your hearing (which will eventually happen should you live long enough), the way to do it is from music and good times; not using air tools in a garage or working around excavators and jackhammers etc, busting ass to make some douchebag rich.
