The lyrics make it awesome. "Give me some head cause you're on your period" LOL!
Black Sabbath does suck. God. I used to love fucking Sabbath. The only good thing about Sabbath was Ozzy. But now...shit it all sounds the fucking same to me.

I'm going to mirror AxAxSxSx's comment here, the main thing that drew me to "doom" was the lack of musicanship stigma. In death / black / grind metal it's all about whos the better musician, its not about the music or the fans, its just a bunch of dudes masterbating in front of each other to see who can do it better. Doom to me was more about the passion and emotion you put into it, but like any other genre its gotten flooded by wannabe bands. But I also view it as a larger genre in comparison to "extreme" metal where its all about blast beats, their just polar opposites ends of the same spectrum. As much as some of you guys can't stand hearing or seeing the word Doom anymore I can't stand the word Indie, god damn EVERYTHING is indie now EVERYTHING. Stop fucking using it people, it means nothing anymore. And most "indie" bands aren't even indie, if you read an entire article about them on pitchfork that means that a press agent or their manager secured that for them (nobody gets on pitchfork without a connect, period) which means YOU ARE NOT INDIE, you did not do it yourself independent from representation.
We just need a koom-bai-ya moment and stop hating on anyone elses genre of choice, you guys all ready complained enough that Tom gave us our own forum so you guys didn't have to run across our new 200+ watt amp or how to tune to drop F posts. WE ALL LOVE FUZZ! Especially doomers, can't we all just unite under one love for fuzz??

One of the BEST DOOMERZZZ out there for REALZZZ is Hank Williams III... I post it in the DOOM ROOM but I think they think I'm joking...
Hank 3 is a huge idol of mine in many ways, the fact that he plays 3 sets a night of different music is awesome. Add on to the fact that he was given a family legacy contract and he basically told them to fuck off unless you honor my grandfather in a respectable way. So he went out and earned his name on his own. Mad respect for that man.

i fuckin love heavy shit
but if i had to put what i do and like
into a box with a label
id want it to say"noise rock"(thanks psych)
i listen to way more b.h.s. and jesus lizard
than i do anything that could be labeled as doom
i like the d.r. cause no one seems to give a fuck
i like to play as heavy as possible
andthats where i learn how to achieve that
just the same as like all ILF
CAUSE NO ONE SEEMS TO GIVE A FUCK
except this(and klon)
im not even sure if i really like fuzz that much
but i fuckin love you guys
other side of the tracks is fine and funny
dont let it turn into a wall
that would blow
a huge wall of doom seperating all my ILFbuddies

In the interest of full disclosure, Ancient Astro and I are in an internet indie band. You can buy our merch from Lo-Fi Merchandise (yeah, Euros, pay up bitches in America), stream our sideproject on TinyMixTapes, and order our limited edition tape from Bandcamp.
and before you ask, we only do splits with ourselves.

I wish ladies wouldn't shave their heads.
I love dem doom toanz; the heaviness, the lack of pretension,...and dem slowed down tempoz. But every time a doom vocalist opens his mouth I wanna throw feces in it; not my feces, someone else's feces; perhaps some picked up out of a walmart parking lot.
The vox is why I wanna listen, but wind up just listening to Earth, Kylesa, Horseback and Dead Meadow instead.
If I were to quantify the direction I would go in musically; doom would definitely have an influence on that direction. Maybe more modern in tonality as far as bass, drums and vocals go; with the juxtaposition of creamy vintage vibes for the guitars.
There isn't a single Doom band in Spokane. Doesn't help that the culture is consistently 10 years behind the rest of the world. Everyone still wants to be Nu Metal, Staind, Tool, Godsmack and ICP wannabeees. Only a handful of bands are actually tasty in this here town and they are more noise rock outfits with very small followings.
So Doom is totally an untapped market. And I'll tap dat ass if I wanna.
Taste is subjective and people are gonna go through cycles. Am I late to the party? Sure why not. But I'm pretty mature and not fair weather in my tastes and I'll stick with a tired genre until it gets rediscovered by a new generation.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and honestly; discussion about it is healthy. Hater gonna hate but I still love you all.
