I sample stuff occasionally, so my searching is equal parts "I want this specifically", and "I'm just going to grab this for the lulz". A lot of digging goes on, kind of nice though, as it leads to plently of discovery.

Recently, I've been on the hunt for entries from the Table of the Elements series, basically a bunch of experimental guitarists recording EP's on colored vinyl for the world to hear. I already had Lee Ronaldo's entry, and recently I got ahold of Stephen O'Malley's entry after moths of digging!

Heres a stock image for reference.

SOMAS record on the Table of Elements rules. I still want Oren's.

Picked up a couple of records when I was in Grand Rapids. I got Meet The Beatles, After Bathing at Baxter's and Small Change by Tom Waits. Was hoping they'd have Parliament or some black metal, but no luck there.

So far, I have a very nice stereo and a record player, but only a few records...

I got a few old ones from my grandma with the stereo... and I've only bought two myself - Mahavishnu Orchestra's Apocalypse and In The Wake of Poseidon by King Crimson

love to listen to those 70's records, sounds so right

anyway... two 210 cabs make it sound so goooood

I have about 4 crates worth. Haven't been listening to them for a while because of our toddler and baby and no good place to put the player (plus I pulled the ground out of the player when we last moved, and haven't got around to fixing it). I used to spend crazy money on records after spending a few hours at the pub, even buying duplicates on more than one occasion. "Do I have this Cannonball Adderly? No, right? I'll get it just to be sure." I was attempting to get every recorded Beastie Boys song on vinyl, but gave up on that project at some point.

Yeah, I love Vinyl (again). I might have around 300 I guess. And a decent setup to play them.
Last two records I got, are Dub Trio's New Heavy and IV. I saw them live last week, was blown away and went straight to the merch' stand after the show.
I actually buy almost all the time some vinyl, if the show kicked at least some little a**.
Seems right to put the money directly into the musician's hand.
