It is definitely the majority who are comfortable with it, as you say. There are people who do feel like victims, though, even if that is a very small number, and I just think it's unfair that they were never given a choice.

No, mutilation is the appropriate term. They are physically altering your body for your entire life. Thats definition mutilation. Big chief as usual is bringing way too much feels into this. Are they cutting your dick up? Yes. Are they sucking it? Yes. Are children dying from it? Yes. Do they have a choice? No. Are the people doing this hiding behind their status as living agents of a magical creator being to avoid legal prosecution? Yes. My only feelings about circumcision is that I'm happy my parents did that for me. The few uncircumcised kids in my class got made fun of really badly those first few years we had gang showers in middle school. That was really fucked up and mean and I'm really happy I didn't have to go through that.

And dude, I already said that the shit described in that article is fucked up and horrific. You do realize that not every circumcision is done like that, right? I was circumcised in a hospital, by a doctor, and no creepy old guy sucked on my dick when they did it.

I paraphrase.

I have scars across my chest and right arm where it was tattooed, but I don't call that mutilation.
I also have a scar under my eye where the doctor rebuilt all the broken bones in the left side of my face, but I took the trade-off and exchanged the scar for having cheekbones.
I know there's a difference between needing a procedure and elective (though I elected to have my face rebuilt, just like my tattoos), but it's possible that circumcision can be looked at as a practical thing. I don't think it's important either way, but I've read compelling arguments on both sides of the issue.

Sometimes, people make a decision based on the tradeoff. And that factors in when it comes to circumcision. Even if the reason is stupid, like, "I want my son to be circumcised so the majority doesn't pick on him." That's dumb as fuck, but so are people, so it has to be considered...why else did my 16 year old nephew beg his mom to get circumcised?
