You all realize the entire campaign was conceived and drafted by the woman in my avatar, right?
:thumb:
She brought up a great point last night in bed: with all these internet heroes popping up to save Fuzz Box Girl, why isn't she booked out for weeks on this fundraiser? 6K fans and ten or so photos sold?
I love my girlfriend. She's really smart.

EDIT'd: Bad stuff removed. It was early.

I just don't think you or anyone should be SHOCKED that the second someone calls her out she broadcasts it so her horde of Loyal Horny Virgins goes into a frenzy or that Devi takes an argumentative, accusatory stance. None of this surprised me.

I like Devi. But she has a habit of raising a stink just for the heck of it.

I don't actively like or dislike FBG, for the record. I don't pay much attention to what she's done. I just know that she is using her cleavage to her advantage (hey good for her) and she should be ready to take some flak for it.

hmmm.

I just want to say; Professionals should show some composure when in the public eye. It would be one thing if its a belief one continually fights for(from Devis point of view, I kind of see where this particular issue would fall in to her bag, which she already has in the past and still does bring up women/lgbt/human rights). If a new player gets involved I expect to see some valid arguments, not demeaning statements, pointing fingers and trying to clear ones name when shit hits the fan.

It's kind of like the chick-fil-a thing. People still eat chick-fil-a. They still sells millions of sandwiches but a lot of us are still left with that thought that we're eatting sandwiches from ignorant fucks.

I mean... i can see why has FBG came up with the idea to sell pictures of feet and sell her cleavage as a whiteboard etc... there ARE people who are into feet and who feel the need to see something they came up with written on someone's boobs

that being said, i can see why she's doing it - there IS market for it. At least from what I've gathered, there are people on TGP who are creepy about her, aren't there...

but STILL it's just so low...

and of course it's going to raise some voices, but the thing is... people feel like they NEED feminism and they feel like they just HAVE to shove the ideas into your face... people don't need feminism, dudes, noone needs feminism, because it get's out of hand easily and the ideas lose value in no time... PEOPLE JUST NEED TO STOP BEING JERKS about gender related stuff

edit: i didn't read the facebook drama, these are just my thoughts about FBG's fundraising means AND about the fact it can easily lead to bringing up misogyny and feminism and shit like that

i wanted to not say anthing
and just watch this from sidelines
but one thing is puzzling me

hey jack
in one of your last posts
it says the girl in your avatar(your gf/wife?)
came up with the campaign
did she come up with the boob-writing idea?
was this all a private, inside joke amongst friends
meaning you and your girl and fbg
just busting chops
if so
is fbg pissed and outed the sitch
or did she think it was funny
im missing something
and its not funny or serious to me yet

The true shame is that it isn't the really lame builders in spats, and all successfully non-metaphorically shiving each other. Freakish, Lovepedal, and JHS, say. I might even pay $5 to see that go down with serious injuries.

(FBG doesn't actually build anything other than disgusting sounding cocktails, I assume?)

I thought she had her own fuzz pedal now? Not sure if she's building them herself though.

Having a debate about such delicate issues is rather futile on the internet. The internet provides an extreme lack of context and makes it very difficult to understand the reasons one is upset, or why someone did a certain action.

However, I do not agree with the idea that some are posting that a "professional" company should be passive and not speak their minds about issues they are passionate about. I like my companies to be loud. I do not like apathy or indifference. One of my favorite memories on this forum was when it was revealed that the owner of Danelectro donated big money to support Proposition 8. Builders got together and made a few pro-LGBT pedals. Members wrote things like "I <3 Homos" and "Fags are fucking awesome" on their Dano gear. It may not of made a big difference, but it was awesome that as a community we made our own noise about the news.

Fuck being quiet. I love the builders on ILF that post outside of their forum, be them shark tank dudes or the bigger companies. Those are the ones I pay attention to. It's cool when builders talk and make noise, it's a shame some builders are scared of doing so.

In short... Don't fear the noise. ;)
