Yeah, I can't say I enjoyed those films really. Felt more like weird plague victims and not zombies.

28 Days is a Great Film (capital G, capital F). Weeks is not, but is still fun.

Danny Boyle did some seriously amazing shit with Days, and I think a lot of people forget it was released in 2002.

i dont really like 28 days, the dodgy acting and the taxi driver guy really annoys me.
he is so cautious and thinking about protecting his daughter, but then he just recklessly drives through that tunnel OVER THE TOP of a load of crashed cars, whooping and hollerin' like a rodeo rider .... its just WRONG
but i love 28 weeks, its much creepier, and much shakier

and i would class them as 'zombie' films.
although technically a zombie is a reanimated corpse, whether they attack people or not, i think its fair to include infected/changed humans who behave or are transformed in a certain way.
mindless and operating at a base level, trying to inflict violence on 'normals' with their bare hands and teeth.

but dont get me started .... too late now .... im very disappointed that zombies and vampires have become so mainstream.

when i was growing up zombies were disgusting and horrifying, now they are everywhere.
WHAT THE FUCK IS ALL THIS COMEDY ZOMBIE BULLSHIT?!?!

zombies are mindless vandals, crowd anonymity and sheep like behaviour, alienation from an overcrowded unfriendly society, alzheimers, death .... not dressing up with a few rags, holding a rubber hand, pretending to shuffle along and HAVING A LAUGH

Well there are different zombies. A voodoo zombie is a person that has either been reanimated or has been taken over by spell. So it doesn't have to be a reanimated corpse but the 28 days/weeks franchise was just poorly done in my eyes.

i dont know if you saw the alternate (near) ending for 28 days, the bit in the soldier house, i thought it was better than the one they went for.
it has the 'ragers' breaking into the house, instead of being completely forgotten about

the acting was still terrible though :) :snax:

Yep, saw that alternate ending.

Still don't think the acting was that bad. :snax:
