The pull of three TripleBuckers might be too much pull on the strings, too...?
I think a 3-way switch for each TripleBucker ought to do it...off, on, split? Or a 5-way for each? Off, single, humbucker, other pair, all coils? Yeah, confusing.

gotta be 5 ways for the out of phase setting... and pull... eh.. keep em low and use big strings!

Project update:
- Time to take off the neck and sell it! As pretty as it looks (and plays!), I know I'll only like it more with a 24 3/4" conversion neck.

Found a USED Babicz bridge! Score!
I'm expecting this will create a noticeable change in tone. (Notice the bent metal saddles on the stock bridge, for one.

The Babicz has saddles that sit flat on the baseplate. Saddle height is adjusted by a cam system, after adjusting intonation, the saddles get locked in place. I at least expect more sustain. But will be happy with just having a bridge that doesn't want to scrape the skin my hand.

those babicz bridges are pretty rad. i put one on a LP and it made a huge difference and it's easily my fave bass bridge.
....and i think you have room for at least 3 more pickups on that.

Looking forward to hearing how the Babicz changes the sound. It already feels better, with the lack of adjuster screws.
Yeah, put the pickups in pairs so they look like humbuckers and no one bats an eye! Separate 'em by an inch and I look like a nut case!
It was kind of a last-minute thing...I'd put the order in for two humbucker cutouts, and then said "no wait!"
