I played for a couple hours last night using the recording output into a mixing board, with a couple different guitars. still getting a feel for how to best eq it, but I found some sounds I liked a lot.
there's a significant volume increase with the boost engaged, and I didn't immediately see a way to control that level. it didn't come with a manual.
also played for a while with an eqd dream crusher in front of it and that worked great, with and without the boost engaged.
still lots of experimenting to do.

here's a demo of the gain levels. it's just boost off/on throughout, with the gain at 9:00, 12:00, then 3:00.
