I don't have any muff type fuzz.

I don't have a muff at the current time, unfortunately. If anyone wants to hook me up with a triangle for the low, low cost of free, that would be nice.

I got one of these.

First of all, it's mislabeled. Ehx has given it a a Muff name and that's a bit off. It's not a Muff and it ain't no fuzz and if you come at it expecting that then you will be dissapointed.

The OD section is exactly the same as the stand alone EHX Germainium OD, so if you like that you should be pretty happy. The distortion side is a decent germanium dirt box and you can get a nice gating effect if you turn down the voltage knob.

For someone lookng for a heavy fuzzed sound or wild uncontrollable noise it's not really the answer. I use it primarily as a way to warm up the signal (od side) and add a little boost/treble (dist side) before the fuzz etc. just got my Spectacular Aenima and haven't really had a chance to play with it much but I'm pretty excited to see how well they work together. I have a Nyc Big Muff and I've never been really happy with the sound much. Using the OD before it though really thickened it up and added some real nice tone...pretty close to the early Mudhoney sound.

Overall...I like the Germanium4 far more than a Boss or that kinda thing...just, like I say..it ain't a Muff!

Ok, so I just ot this in like 45 minutes ago. This thing has been blowing my mind since I got it. BEST MUFF TOANZ ! I cannot believe that I have slept on this for so long. Nothing else like it. It sounds insane with my ROSS Distortion and Distortion + circuits. I need to check out the Wren and Cuff now!
