example of said girl:
"i always thought birds mated like fish"
not even the other way around which would have made more sense.

Sounds like a smart woman trying to get you to take her from behind.
I found a common theme in my own life--
"I think we need to talk."

"if you ever get religion--like, start going to church or anything--we're through."
That's....entirely reasonable?

she's extremely naive and for all her world travelling she's horrifically sheltered and doesn't even know how to drive. which is another reason for diminished interest.

not to the extent that somebody else is assuming control over your spiritual life, over an entire aspect of your existence. and she didn't just mean Getting Saved...she meant any kind of spiritual practice whatsoever. no meditation, no nothing; you were not going to have any force in your life that was superior to Miss Thang, you see? and this wasn't the current crazy ex, either. i sure can pick 'em.

I KNOW A GIRL LIKE THIS SHE DRIVES ME FUCKING CRAZY. it's awful because she's such a nice girl and a total sweetheart but i can't handle that kind of creepy privileged MPDG type.
i could probably fill this thread with quotes from her if i didn't try to forget them as soon as they escaped her mouth. here's one of my favorites: "i love third world countries." because she's like been to vietnam and costa rica and everyone there seems so happy, duh.

You don't even know how accurately you just described one of my bands.

Yeah, that's not cool. There's levels to the whole thing, and I was thinking full-on preachy conversion when I read the quote, but leaving someone for anything less than that is pretty harsh.

Now you've done it. You've gone and linked to TVTropes. That's my morning, wasted.
