Left home when I was 18 but moved back after college and again after grad school then lived in a couple of different countries and am now a few thousand miles away. Was really happy to get away but I miss them too.

I moved back in with my mom for a bit when I first dropped out of college, 4 years ago. By a "bit" I mean 3 weeks, honest to god once you get used to smoking and fucking when and where you want there's no going back.

That being said, it's crazy stressful on your own and it takes forever to get it right. And houses just fucking break sometimes, right now my furnace is broken and my sewer main is clogged but i have to call the city to dig up my yard and locate my cleanout before Roto Rooter will even charge me the 300 bucks to clean the damn thing and fuck.

The city I would like to move to is also obscenely expensive.

I've wanted to move out since I was 14. Obviously, that's kind of hard though.
I also plan on going to university in the next couple years. I don't want to crash and burn from working too much on top of being a full time (music) student. I guess I'm stuck here until I get my shit together/give up.

I moved out at 22. My dad and I were getting ready to kill one another. We get along much better now.

I have friends that are close to 40 who still live with their parents. I don't see how they can fucking stand it.

I moved out when I was 19, really enjoyed the freedom. Unfortunately, a couple of years later I was forced to move back in with my folks as I was a flat-broke unemployed university student. It sucked having to move back in, as I had definately gotten used to doing what I wanted, when I wanted to. However there were bonuses, such as good free food. I ended up staying with them longer than I needed to, but I'm living with my girlfriend in a basement suite now and I don't think there is any way I'd willingly move in with my parents ever again.

I lol'd at this thread. Awesome. I'm going to be 29 this year, so if I still lived with my parents, I'd be kicking my own ass. I actually just moved into my 4th house. Haven't lived with my parents since I was 18. 2 kids, wife...the whole lot.
