Since I got my CC/DC the CC side has been on 100% of the time. Mainly because without it the DC is so much goddamn louder than everyone of my pedals with the voume maxed.

With nobs at about noon. Makes my clean tone sounds much more full.
Sounds good for OD, too.

I found that out today after using my Sunn with lots of pedals today. Recorded a 7 track album with my Coli 880 cranked AND THAT'S IT. Sounded great.

This! Plus reverb (rrr), and sometimes delay (almost always?)

I've got a SHO coming so we'll see.

+1 on the RRR. I had a SHO which was always on, but eventually sold it and got The Cleanness. That pedal is so versatile with the EQ and gain and volume knobs. If placed early, the SHO just blew the hell out of everything in it's way and then it sounded shitty at the end of the chain. Depends on your setup though, as I've heard some guys use the SHO to perfection, just didn't get along with mine unfortunately.

Ok so I don't leave it on 100% of the time but it's on A LOT. I have mine first in my chain usually set with the knob all the way down. I run it like that into my fuzz for more clarity.

It's hard to describe but to me, it has the effect (on fuzz) of rolling back your guitars volume just slightly but it doesn't reduce the volume and doesn't really seem to affect the amount of gain. So really I mainly use it as a clarity boost sort of thing but I occasionally reach down and crank it (without fuzz) for it's intended use.

I love it!

I should add that it also thins out the fuzz a little and makes it a little brighter. I'm in to that kind of thing but I know a lot of people aren't.

On the other hand if I crank it all the way up and run it into fuzz it usually gets really compressed and velcro-ey and sometimes a little glitchy.

For my main bass sound its a 05 -> Interstellar Overdrive -> Darkboost (with starve knob). So they are always on when I'm playing woth my band

I thought that was common knowledge? Yeah, those things kill when their cranked.

I hate to be boring, but SHO. At the end of the chizzain.

When I'm not broke I'd like to replace it with an And Aardvarks!

My SHO is on 100% of the time, and my Menatone Red Snapper is on about 85% of the time. I play with single coils going into a silverface twin, so i like to keep it bright. I keep the sho on at a bit higher than unity would be, so that it beefs up my clean tone when i have to play stupid smaller place... but when i can play my twin at a nice volume, it just adds a bit of clarity to the hi-mids, and really adds a nice chime to leads. Using that + the Snapper on about 50% gain gets me some mild brit-like distortion, due to the mild mid/low mid bump in the snapper and the hi mid bump in the SHO.

i love it.

you're saying that it might be problematic to "keep it bright" otherwise, playing single-coils into a silverface Twin?
:wha?:

For my cover band, my Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone is on for 90% of my set. And the Tech 21 Leeds is on for about 75%.

How do you like the Leeds? Do you use it for dirt or full up for distortion?

Thanks,
