This is my thinking too; I've got some... ideas.skullservant wrote:Eventually gonna need some Dominon Cabs in the mix
You do know that the only way to activate the distortion is with the footswitch right? Without the footswitch it's just a knob that turns.skullservant wrote:Haha yeah it's a friend's amp that I'm gonna take a look at, it's got low output and the distortion knob isn't working at all.

welcome to the CR120 club...fuckin' cool amps!blakestree wrote:All praise be to NAD!
said it in two other places...but fuck it, i'll say it again...congrats Darren...love the back story to it too, makes the whole thing that much sweeter!D-Day wrote:Nice! I'd like to check one of those out.
Here is my new ride. I made payments on this thing for five months. I made the last payment about a week ago and now I have it. It's currently being referred to as the 'Prince amp' because Prince (yes, the dude formerly known as the weird symbol) called up Soldano and requested a super clean machine because he's a total pedalhead. So Mike stripped a couple of gain stages from the Avenger and removed the loop. A couple of other small changes were made and now there's going to be a new Soldano product of it. This is the eighth one built. Prince has six and my ol' buddy Dan from The Valley has the other. Anyhow, I got to crank the fuck out of it for a couple hours last night and it is a fire breathing dragon with a fuzz pedal in front. I couldn't be happier

Yep, cool story and amp. I still think Prince is badass. I don't care what the kids and Kevin Smith say.samzadgan wrote:said it in two other places...but fuck it, i'll say it again...congrats Darren...love the back story to it too, makes the whole thing that much sweeter!D-Day wrote: Here is my new ride.
