Maybe I am missing a key element, how do you keep the pedals held down on the shag? Does velcro work?
It looks awesome and hides wires but I don't get how it works.

I have a couple Bedroom Boards that utilize "SHAG SEXINESS", not quite the same as that above but close enough. That shag is thick stuff! My pedals don't go anywhere on it and I rearrange a fair bit with both boards so I hate velcro everywhere. It's no Dual Lock obviously, perfect for my needs though. Also has removable floor to stash the PP2+ and CIOKS DC10 with holes and notches to run everything, bad ass homies!

I wire everything good and tight to with a Lava solderless kit so that helps shit stay put as well. Comes with a corrugated foam-filled lid, holds everything snugly in place when moving, though I'm fairly careful, never slinging the shit around but it's solid for sure.

I'll post some pics of my finished board remodel real soon, been almost done for like 6 months now, legitimately close now though, for realzers. You'll see more SHAG in action!

Thanks for the info, What does a large board cost?

They're pricey but I'll never need another board. Built like fuckin' tanks and custom specs so it's just perfect.

Price is based on general sizes S, M, L and range from like $115 to $250 depending on custom options you choose. Removable floor, in/out jacks, etc, etc all affect price, they'll build whatever you want. Shipping is the worst part for sure!

Cool, thanks, D! It is excessive, sure. :) However, I got to a point where it became valuable to have separate setups for separate projects. I would play with the same board all the time and get totally frustrated trying to recreate particular settings among several bands... Gear whore? Sure. Tone whore? Yep. :thumb:

I'm happy I'm not the only one who does this

got a new thing starting up that i'm just PEEING myself with excitement over. might include one of you GrrLy Size String players (i keed. mad love for non-wanking gitar noise machines), going off a click track and getting messy. super lubricated at the though of.

hurm. would any of y'all try bi-amping with a bass/guitar/drums combo? only make sense with no guitars and trying to fill all that space? i've always run one signal path but i'm kinda curious about the Double Ups.

also, i want to get naked and violate that shag board.

ok here's a quick one.

depending on what band/project, i swap some here and there.

Image

boss tuner - 70s JEN Mr. CryBaby Super vol/wah - 80s Boss OC-2 Octaver - Jeckyll (soft od) & Hyde (full dist) - Behringer Ultra Vibrato - 80s Boss CE-2 or 80s Ibanez PT9 Phaser - 80s Pearl AD-08 Analog Delay (mid length) - DigiVerb (spring) or Digitech PDS 1000 (250ms delay set to 95% wet - sampling for noize/hum/drones) - 80s Yamaha DD-100 Digital Delay (long) - Akai Headrush E1(sampler)

i might switch back to using my beloved 80s Boss SD-1 and Marshall ShredMaster instead of the J&H, but we'll see.

Pat.
