Thanks! This is pretty dated but still helpful. If anyone's got shots of their stuff now that'd be cool.

Anybody know what James Blake uses?
Gear and pedals- there's some deep reverbs going on here

I'd say that's all post processing. Or laptop effects or something loaded onto a sampler. If it's not though, I'd love to know.

Does anyone know what the guy playing the sub bass noises is making them with in this video?

I've been trying to find out for a while.

I don't know where it came from originally- but he's pulling the sampled sound from a Roland sp-404.

+1 for lovers of Thee Oh Sees. LOVE them. John Dwyer is a rock and roll King Midas. All his bands are gold to my ears.

Fersure!

You can get a good look at it in the videos from this session:

Anyone know the drum kit he's using?
It'd be pretty cool to use actual drum sticks to play drum machine stuff instead of pushing buttons.

I had completely forgotten about this, but when I saw Freezepop and Plushgun at the Great Scott in Boston earlier this year, I snapped this pic of Plushgun's guitarist's board. The two Empress pedals are obvious. There's also a Holy Grail nano, a Boss PS-5 (or 6, close enough), a TU-2, a Box of Rock and a loop switcher. And right in the middle of the board, partially obscured by the mic stand, is a Copilot Orbit. Rock on, Adam!

Here's Bobb Bruno from Best Coast's setup (he uses a JC-120 live, FWIW).

Whenever I see a board like that, I can't help but think he must be on a forum somewhere.

Also, he used some sort of blonde Fender amp when I saw them.
