I never intended to use that amount of money, it just happened. A little gift here and a "oh, that would be cool" there. It just piled up on me.

My pedal is a rather expensive one so I have to keep the extras fairly affordable as possible. Probably will come in at like $350-$375 with shipping.

I really wish I could send cheese. There's just lots of good cheese I could get my hands on but shipping it wouldn't really be a possibility.

Yeah, I'm not sure if the "limit" is main gift+goodies+snacks+shipping or what. If it's that definition I'll definitely be going over. I mean international shipping's and tasty snaxs aren't cheap yo If it's a $100 limit for any individual item in the box, then it's probably still under the limit.

I'm just not sure whether or not I should ship first class or spring for priority. It's far enough in advance of Christmas that it'd probably get there in time, but you never know. Then there's tracking and insurance issues and whatnot...

Yeah, exactly. I fully intended to go straight pedge for this, and I did, but that doesn't mean people should be stressing about measuring up or whatever. That's fucking dumb,

It's all about forging a new personal connection with someone on the forum. PLus seeing all the opening posts on or around Christmas is just the best, even if you weren't a part of secret satan.

Yeah, not to get all Pollyanna (unless we're talking about the pedal, of course), but it's about the spirit of the season. I've done enough of these now that I can look back and see what "stuck" in terms of the gifts I've received, and it's not necessarily the big-ticket items. And no matter WHAT I've received, I've always loved the process overall... stalking the "what did you get?" thread is super fun.
