Directing, co-producing, distributing. It all ends up the same
I think you should make a demo video of you talking through it while on the phone with some kind of customer service line or something

Want it.
Please help me rationalize the need for one.
It's one of the best pedals I own. I normally like being able to tweak lots of parameters, and I normally hate playing with knobs live, but the proteus has a lot of great sounds and it's easy to dial in. My faves are a full range step filter and a dark auto wah thing. Soooo good!
Have any clips? Those two sounds are what I imagine I'd do with it as well. That's how I use my hyperphase. I feel like this, set up in a fast step mode, in front of fuzz would make for some great solo sounds, or textural stuff.
Finally....

So how does this compare to the Ring Thing? Not that it's a choice of one or the other, just a choice of which to get first

Hmmm.. they're really different pedals. The Subdecay definitely SOUNDS better and it has the tracking modes which are really useful and musical.
The Ring Thing's advantage is that it can do ring mod, pitch shifting, detune, chorus, trem, vibe etc if tweaked right and you can save presets. It sounded good to me but not as good as a lot of dedicated pedals for the sounds I got out of it so I ended up selling it.
So yeah - Vitruvian Mod first if you want a great sounding tracking ring mod, Ring Thing first if you want a decent enough sounding ring mod that can do a ton of other things.
Or the Moog if you want the best sounding Ring Mod but no tracking and a bulky-ass enclosure with a funky power supply.

I'm not sure why but I have heard very little about it. It seemed to be shadowed by the Vitruvian Mod. I knew of its existence and heard the Subdecay demo but that's really it.

Anyone seen a demo with the enchant function maxed in either direction? I skipped through the prymaxe vid and saw pretty neutral enchant settings for the most part.
But yeah, this has totally flown under the radar.

I'm pretty sure the Prymaxe video has a few extreme settings. It's a subtle effect, though, what it does.
