Every time I see it, that pedal board on the stand makes me nervous.

Never had any problems yet. It's only temporary until our drummer (finger injury) switches back to his acoustic drums and we get away from the electro-noise and back to just noise. For the next few sets I'm doing way more knob twiddling then usual which is why I got it up.

Been too cheap to build/buy a new pedalboard. I figure when I join a band here, I will just get a piece of wood and glue on a power strip.

Top Row: Garmopat modded Vox V847 Wah (Think 535Q Dunlop except all the pot controls are on the inside), EQD Monarch OD, '80/'81 Small Stone
Bottom Row: Tunah, Deluxe Memory Man XO (it slayed the big box I used to have), Bluebeard fuzz, '96 RAT2

Still looking to pick up a Leslie emulator, Germanium fuzz, and a volume pedal

This.

I have the volume on my Supercollider at 3 o' clock

I pushed my guitarist's deluxe reverb a few inches back running that thru my Mesa 400+

That sounds rad!

I too run my fuzzes past unity. As in, they all have the volume knobs maxed.

Fuck clean blends.

The secret to "low end retention" and "cutting thru" on bass is cranking the volumes on yer fuzzes
Plus you get some (a shit load) of ear piercing feedback, which is always a good thing :yay:

I'm having a lot of fun with it, especially messing around with Garageband and other music apps. Picked up the Apogee Jam and I am very happy with how easy it is to eff around with my bass and pedals to make stupid noises on the iPad. Having a lot of fun making ridiculous noises as well as more practical songwriting ideas! After I spent an hour yesterday messing around with the setup and my headphones, my g/f asked me what I was doing since I hardly seemed to be playing the bass. If she heard the noise I was making she probably would have thought I was crazy. Anyway, here is a pic of the setup.

I think I clipped the input on the two parts where I used the boost switch.

Realised I never actually posted a proper image of my pedal board. This is what it's currently like for shoegazey goodness. The chain is DIY Fuzz Factory > Boss PS5 Pitch Shifter > Boss RV3 Reverb/Delay > Mellowtone Singing Tree Overdrive > Secret Seasons DIY Snowflake Fuzz > Digitech Digiverb Reverb > MemoryBoy Analog Delay > Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai Delay > Line 6 DL4 Delay

Image

The Fuzz Factory kinda gets substituted with a Devi Ever Shoegazer or a Devi Ever GZ clone with a Chaos setting depending on how mental and noisy I want to get. DL 4 is only used for looping purposes, not actual delays. Also the Digiverb and PS5 may be on their way out. Have to make room for my incoming Mellowtone SuperChan dual boost :) want to get a Repeat Percussion type tremolo in there too!

have you thought about the Flashback if you're just doing simple looping? it's tiny and that's the only thing i'd buy it for.

jia.

I had a PS-5 briefly. The only functions I liked on it were the Detune and the Trem Arm....It was fun in a feedback loop but ultimately non essential so it went off in a trade towards a speaker cab.

heavy board by Loud Wizard, on Flickr

decided to reconfigure my small board as a doom-bringing board - big board is going to be the super psychedelic board.
I also just ordered another board that I can fit my wah on, and the board pictured will become a bass guitar board. yeah!
