A long time ago I was really into that stuff too but I just looked at them as cheap sound sources for pedals I guess. Was also always interested in those Radel (I think) tabala drum machine things.
Never pulled the trigger though.

Are there any demos anywhere? I'm thinking they'd make a really good sound source for drones

I'm thinking they are pretty stock, stable oscillator meant to be set on specific frequencies (that are for specific things...like to help fight fatigue, help calmness etc.). The sweep generator is problably like an LFO to slowly change the overall oscillation (like a frequency generator in electronics test equipment). I think these things go very low and almost outside the realm of hearing. They have a white noise generator too. It seems like youtube and computers have taken over for these old machines.
My thinking is that they would be good to mix with another sound or to modulate another sound. At least one of them has an input which I think will either pass through or slightly mix with the oscillation 9for the addition of nature sounds or something). It would probably be really good to just give fullness and as a set peice while you mess with other drones...but a good LFO and oscillator would essentially do the same thing (which maybe less range because it is tuned for music more than "healing").

is an example...but it is basicually a stable oscillator that is modulated.

Not. Worth. It.
I had a Poly-800 for a few days ten years ago. I sold it again quickly. This synth with two 4-bit DCOs sounds very poor IMO.
