I have been wondering this for YEARS. We have all kinds of synth pedals to try to emulate a synth but no real midi bass.

there's that one company that goes the same route i think Yamaha did? i'm horrible with brand names.... but they do an electrical connection when you press a string to a fret so it's like a keyboard's accuracy with bass's feel?

they're not cheap though. like 2 or 3 g's and when i talked to them they said at least 4 g's for a six string bass.

a true midi input option would be AWESOME though.

Got it all organized, and I feel pretty comfortable with the sounds I'm getting out of this thing. The only thing I'm going to be adding pretty soon (again) is the Malekko Tremolo.

I've always wanted to try a haunting mids fuzz.

Thoughts on it?

Trial and error month. I'm having a lot of gear come in and out so the board is taking a holiday so as to experiment more with loops and lfo-outs. I'm using the DI out on my amp and running through monitors instead of the cabinet too just 'cos.

Gotta figure out how to work in the Theremin. I'm thinking I'm going to have in an LS-2 and just line select or possible even do some blending. This is for a electro noise setup that we are doing for a gig on Friday.

I've got the LS-2 laying around not doing anything at the moment so I'll just likely use that. I've got some DIY plans for this board though. Namely I wanna replace the Treadle expression pedal with a T1M inspired expression knob to control the LFO sweep on the MuRF. This will give me more room to work with.

theremin into pedals is a toughy... not enough harmonic content to make dirt pedals thicken up
have you found some you like?

I'm not sure on the Theremin,....I will have to see after I get it worked in.

My drummer will have some samples of a nice thick 808 style bass sound to fill in the lowend while I'm off in noise land. I still have to rehearse with the Theremin,....it belongs to my drummer.

the problem with the theremin is two fold. obviously its a simple waveform with not much overtones. the second problem is the impedance. a re-amp box that converts line to guitar would probably help a lot. at first I noticed my line level signals were passing the fuzz pedals mostly clean. now I use the NF audio unit to dial in the maximum amount of distortion on the impedance knob. really does the trick. how about a theremin>RA10>perseus>torns peaker. that would kick ass.

Likewise dude! I absolutely love the way those Soundblox look and some evil settings on the SC by the looks of those screws and the direction they're pointing anddd good to see another George L user still out there :yay: I got caps for mine though despite liking the look of the bare metal more simply because I was ruining 'em each time I yanked 'em out. And I'm sure you'll figure out something to do with the Theremin! Half the fun of gear is the initial stages where you're (or at least I am) really intimidated and/or overwhelmed. Give yourself in to the power of the T :thumb:
