At this point I'd like to crown myself lord of the iceman appreciation society. I love those things. I have 2 now and one is a fucking doom making machine. Sorry I didn't catch that before. Nice ones.

Hey crohny, it's cool man, all these guys that have been here for ages working hard to push this thing up to...whatever page we're on now shouldn't have to be ushered on to other pastures. I'm sure reason is prevailing here. I have faith. Let's just get back to business and keep on trucking...

Everybody, go listen to weedeater's cover of truck driving man now, I'm too dank to make my iPad link to it.

Seriously, it's been pages since someone said something totally gay...no wait, I did that just before. Sorry.

All of the above, also.

Ah no worries man. It's the internet, it's vast. We shall find a new smoking ground.

don't worry, bro, in 5 pages all this shit will have been put aside towards discussion about stuff that doesn't suck. like usual, the Doom Room will have it's way and prevail with a vengeance.

Totally. Sorry dude you wrote that while I was typing.

Also would like to add that I love Nick, and Lamp. :hello:

Also would like to add that I have found posting outside the DR very pleasant here even though I like to check in here first.

Now I will spam my band- (which needs to be louder!)

Also I will buy ILF stickers if that makes people feel better (and they are rad)

I knew something like this drama was going to happen in here. Honestly I would like it if people posted everywhere and followed the rules. That's it. I don't think anyone's saying, or has said, that you should no longer post in here in favor of posting other places, or that you should shun Nick.

I'm interested in Nick's stuff and frankly I don't want to undergo the Herculean task of sifting through this thread for info on his wares. If his website was up, or he had a thread in the shark tank, I'd be all over that shit all the time. I'm beginning to wonder if there are other builders I'd be interested in lurking in the constantly sinking pages of this thread...

No one's said you guys need to interact equally with all parts of ILF, just that you guys have cool ideas and things to say, so you should... like... come hang out in the rest of the forum sometime? :idk: I'd post in here, but it moves crazy fast so I always feel like I'm walking in in the middle of a fast-talking conversation between 20 oddly clique-ish guys.

Do it! IC400s (which is my favorite of the 2 I own) are pretty cheap. They're neck through and have decent stock hardware, handle low turnings nicely and, like all ibanezs, have really playable necks. However, like all ibanezs, they have terrible pickups and paint jobs/detail, but the price is right, so you can at least swap out the pups with no hassle.

I don't know for certain if what goes on in here actually is spam, but I could see where it might be interpeted as such. Dunwich-bro, I'd PM Tom or a mod to be sure that you're operating within the board rules, posting guts and info on your wares. Just to be sure. Like I said, not in here to rain on anyone's parade. Just want to make sure that all Doom Room goings-on are legit/within the rules. Peace.

And you post in this thread how often?

I post across the board often enough to know that I like enough people who actively post in this thread, and elsewhere on ILF that I'd recommend necessary precautions are taken, so those dudes can continue doing their thing here. I feel I was pretty diplomatic; so much so that it didn't warrant such a "tone" in reply. Let's play nice, ok?

If you detected any kind of "tone" in my post then you must be trying to get something started in here. All I asked was a question because I haven't seen you post in here until now. Nobody else is bothered by Nick posting his amp builds. Yeah, that one post he made talking about lowering prices on some of his prices was spam but everything else he posts is something I don't consider spam. I post pics of my builds from time to time just because I love building and like sharing things that I have built. I'm not looking for an argument (wasn't in the first post either) so if this reply bothers you go wash the sand out of your vagina and then let me buy you a beer.

Excuse me, this thread is not a self-contained forum, as much as you guys seem to want it to be. You are part of a community. And although a few of you guys have ventured out to the other sub-forums, the rest of the ILF community would really like that interaction to expand.

Bloog is simply making the point that ILF has an anti-spam policy which, in essence, is: If you're selling something, post it in BST. If it's something you made yourself, then get a Shark Tank spot. We're not saying that Nick doesn't contribute a lot with his posting. It's just that posts that are primarily concerned with advertising a product that he's selling belongs in the Shark Tank.

No one was being disrespectful, and no one was shitting on anyone. We just want all of ILF to be happy, interactive, and inclusive.

I wasn't being disrespectful either. I know sometimes posts may come across as not how they intended... oh well. I don't consider Nick to be a builder on the level like EQD, Dr Scientist, Black Arts, ect. (he could be though). I see him as someone who people hit up to build an amp to their exact specifications either through PMs or email outside of the forum. I don't see where his posting pics throughout the build would be considered spam.

TL;DR

Listen to Neurosis and have a good night err'body. I'm going to show my son the awesomeness of that which goes by the name of "The Goonies".

Clique-ish is a bit rough. Maybe it's just cause we're all on the same page, all 400 of them, nearly. I haven't ventured too far Fromm the DR personally because I'm generally not a forum type of person, but I love it here because people speak my language, as it were, and I love contributing because I feel like people will actually be able to relate to it. I'm sure the other forums are full of awesome people as well, I just feel more comfortable here. In the really real world though, I'm not a people person either, so that's probably more of a personality thing with me. I knows what I likes and I stick with that.

On a side note, I've been stalking Dunwichian stuff since a mate put me onto it last year and I've been lurking he ever since. It was the muscle cars, tits and generally awesome level of intelligence and conversation that finally convinced me to take part though.

I have learned more from Nick than some college classes I took (and failed)
I assume he doesn't want to increase advertising w a shark tank when he trying to meet a huge demand.
And every Doom Room I've been on has 50pages a day that make my heads spin so
Dip in and dip out or use a search function
At least it's not FB Doom Room now THAT's Some SPAM!!
Example Dirge shark tank.
Skull Servant is participating in a wedding that is more anticipated then Princess Di and Prince Charles
because once they're married people can get there DIRGE on. Glooooooom for everyone.

Fair enough. I think you'd be surprised how small of an operation most of the ILF builders are. They're all either 1 or 2 man(or woman) operations, operating on profit margins that are low enough that it would shock most people, and it shows that they all do this shit mostly because they love it, and I'm sure Nick is the same way. All I meant was that I know that it sounds like the ILF elders are coming in here and shitting on you guys and attacking you, but that's not it at all. I've been here a long fucking time and I love it when new people come around. I just want more of you guys to come out and check out the rest of the forum, especially the gear section, because this forum is full of really cool and unbelievably nice people (especially compared to other gear forums on the net).

I tried following this thread when it first started, but it just moves way way way too fucking fast. I'll go to a meeting at work and come back to 5 pages having passed, and I just say fuck it and forget about it. As wfs said, I'd actually be really into Nick's stuff, but this thread is just such a blur that it's basically impossible to track for info on his products.

And fuck yeah on Neurosis. And Isis. Although I've been listening to Pelican all fucking day today.

I know you guys probably ment well but it really didn't seem like it with the way things were said. And then to hear complaints about how fast things move only contribute to the feelings of ill will. I think people will venture out when they feel comfortable. I started posting here because the DR moved here. But there are some hostile posts happening. I know its the internet and just let that shit slide, but doesn't that kinda contradict the welcoming message that others are posting.

Yeah, generally speaking clique-ish is a bit rough, but judging by some of the posts in the last few pages...

I like to think that I've made friends here; I've definitely met an overwhelmingly large number of nice and helpful people here. So knowing there are a bunch of cool, like-minded folks hiding in their own thread, in my favorite corner of the Internet, is a little disconcerting to me. BC hit it on the head, new people on ILF has always been a good thing :thumb:

I'm not sure what you mean by hostility dazed?
