Nick's post's don't come off that way to me at all. His presence in the DR is one of the reasons I even bother with the internet and talking about guitar shit. It's one dude making rad shit out of his home. He charges far less than a mass produced PCB amp and you get something a million times better. He also brings a wealth of knowledge to the table along with a keen ability to shit on me at any given moment. If his posts are deemed to be spamming from this day forth then the DR is truly dead haha.
Sorry, man, but all the people in the Shark Tank I know are just that, awesome dudes that run a business out of their houses or trying to start one up. And, much more importantly, the dude that runs this place, Tom Dalton, is the exact same kind of guy. One bloke that builds fuzz pedals that lots of people enjoy and that is a funny, courteous, stand-up dude that pays for this whole shebang. Setting up a Shark Tank means helping Tom pay for this forum that is a great resource, and a lot of potential customers if you build good product which I am sure Dunwich does.
Tom out-typed me.
I guess I am far too accustomed to the DR than the sites them selves. ha

Should have mentioned the fact that him doing those things for a profit (if you can even call it that) doesn't go against the way the doom room operates which in itself is following the site rules to a twisted sense of homage over profitability. He doesn't need the DR to make a profit. If you actually read what he posts it's not a sales slogan. He is discussing his shit because regardless of him being in the shark tank or not, his gear is still relevant to the ideals of the thread/community and would still be discussed here. No one is an outsider of the DR but to over look the way the DR is used is weird considering that it takes on a life of it's own and no one is sitting back making a lot of money off this. Well, besides Mark. But last I knew he wasn't a member so that isn't relevant. Maybe someone just needs to start a DR forum...I guess I am far too accustomed to the DR than the sites them selves. ha

No, then I have to venture out of the DR. This is actually a serious post.

I'd like for everybody to continue doing their thing (and this is in no way to come across as dickish), but posting across the board is a great thing, man! It's pretty rad here vs other forums. I don't know for certain if what goes on in here actually is spam, but I could see where it might be interpeted as such. Dunwich-bro, I'd PM Tom or a mod to be sure that you're operating within the board rules, posting guts and info on your wares. Just to be sure. Like I said, not in here to rain on anyone's parade. Just want to make sure that all Doom Room goings-on are legit/within the rules. Peace.
And you post in this thread how often?
Excuse me, this thread is not a self-contained forum, as much as you guys seem to want it to be. You are part of a community. And although a few of you guys have ventured out to the other sub-forums, the rest of the ILF community would really like that interaction to expand.
Bloog is simply making the point that ILF has an anti-spam policy which, in essence, is: If you're selling something, post it in BST. If it's something you made yourself, then get a Shark Tank spot. We're not saying that Nick doesn't contribute a lot with his posting. It's just that posts that are primarily concerned with advertising a product that he's selling belongs in the Shark Tank.
No one was being disrespectful, and no one was shitting on anyone. We just want all of ILF to be happy, interactive, and inclusive.

Seriously, it's been pages since someone said something totally gay...no wait, I did that just before. Sorry.
All of the above, also.

Ah no worries man. It's the internet, it's vast. We shall find a new smoking ground.
